CERES Science Team Meetings

We are excited to have you here at the Lab for the CERES meetings. In preparation of your onsite visit, please plan to arrive at the West Gate Badge Office by 8:00a, Tuesday, 10/01/2024 for badging. Further, you must read the restricted and controlled items rules that include the limitations on the use of some electronics and photography while onsite at the Lab.

Badging

(Bring original credentials to the badge office. Copies are not acceptable.)

1. Curbside pickup of your badge is being requested. All personnel must provide proof of their identity. U.S. Citizens and legal permanent residents must also provide their social security number. Returning visitors who are now Naturalized U.S. Citizens must present their US passport and current driver’s license during this visit. LLNL is required to implement the Department of Homeland Security’s REAL ID Act for allowable forms of identification of personnel requiring site access. Currently, all states are compliant with the REAL ID Act:
   
   Proof of identity for U.S. Citizens:
   • U.S. driver’s license or identification card
   • U.S. passport or passport card
   • U.S. military ID (active duty or retired military and their dependents, and DoD civilians)
   • Native American tribal photo ID
   • HSPD-12 PIV card
   • School ID card with photograph (for minors)
2. Non-U.S. citizens must present the following original documents, as applicable:
   • U.S. driver’s license (required to drive on site)
   • Valid Passport
   • Permanent Resident Card
   • Visa documentation
   • All accompanying documentation
3. DAY1: Angela Jefferson (jefferson9@llnl.gov / 209-275-3294) or Mark Zelinka (zelinka1@llnl.gov / 570-885-3255) will escort you through the guard entrance into Building 170, Conference Room 1091. It is okay to park cars at the West Badge Office on the first day of the meeting.
4. All badges are the property of the U.S. Government and must be returned at the close of the visit.

Parking

Parking will be available in the A-07W Parking Lot, located in the rear of building 170. After badge check through the guard entrance of the West Gate. Continue straight on Westgate Drive, then make a right onto Avenue B (the second road beyond the guard entry). Make an immediate right turn into the parking lot.

Entering Building 170 and Conference Room 1091

DAY2 and DAY3: There will be a paved walkway that will lead into building 170. Enter and veer to the left of the stairwell, followed by an immediate right and walk straight ahead to the front of the building. Once you arrive in the front lobby area, make a left and Conference Room 1091 will be immediately to the right.

In your Wi-Fi options, select LLNL-GUEST from the device’s list of available wireless networks and follow the prompts. You will be prompted to supply the following information:

• The group password: greatscience (case sensitive)
• The sponsor’s LLNL email address (email): zelinka1@llnl.gov
• The first and last name of the guest requesting access
