EBAF – Level 3b Observed TOA and computed surface all-sky and clear-sky fluxes; CERES-MODIS cloud properties. Clear-sky for total area of 1°x1° region. Parameters Spatial & Temporal Resolution Availability Order Data Data Quality Summaries EBAF Ed4.2 References Updated EBAF Ed4.1: (posted 08/30/2021)Dear CERES EBAF Data User,We have corrected problems found in some of the variables in the CERES EBAF product for data months between November 2019 and February 2021. The problem is associated with a correction we recently applied to mitigate a spurious drift in the data during this period due to the loss of a microwave humidity sounder in our temperature and humidity reanalysis input data stream. The EBAF product released on July 27, 2021 contains larger temporal discontinuities in the following variables: – Surface down longwave clear-sky total and cloud free regions – Surface net longwave clear-sky total and cloud free regions – Surface net total (shortwave+longwave) clear-sky total and cloud free region – TOA Longwave cloud radiative effect – TOA net cloud radiative effect – Surface net longwave cloud radiative effect – Surface net total (shortwave+longwave) cloud radiative effectIf you are using any of these variables for November 2019 onwards from the Edition 4.1 EBAF data product downloaded after July 26, 2021, please reorder the data to get the corrected version. We apologize for any inconvenience.Sincerely,CERES TeamIf you have any questions, please contact us via LaRC-CERES-Help@mail.nasa.gov. Surface all-sky and total and cloud-free-area clear-sky fluxes and TOA total area clear-sky fluxes were inadvertently affected. Edition 4.2 released in January 2024 corrects this issue. Please see Section 7.0 of the Data Quality Summary for more details. If you used EBAF Ed4.2 data with an end date of June 2023 or before, please download the dataset again.
